Eastern Michigan Young Marines, 2nd Battalion, Michigan Regiment, 5th Division, National Headquarters

Welcome to Our Unit.

The Eastern Michigan Young Marines is a non-profit 501(c)3 Organization that teaches youth self-discipline, self-respect, leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness. It incorporates the Marine Corps Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, and Strengthens the Lives of America's Youth by promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The Eastern Michigan Young Marines unit actively engages its youth by participating in a number of community service events, unit wilderness encampments, leadership schools, unit fundraisers, community parades, and several other events that strengthen the lives of the youth.

When a youth joins the program, they must successfully pass a twenty-six (26) hour total recruit class training, affectionately called "Boot Camp." This training will be divided throughout the unit's weekly meetings, including two 8-hour Drill sessions. During this time, the youth learn and comprehend all of the necessary aspects required to actively participate as a Young Marine. Upon Recruit Class completion, the youth will graduate as a Young Marine, beginning and continuing their experience from there.

The Young Marines is a nationwide program, with hundreds of units and thousands of Young Marines across the country, including units in Japan and Germany. If you have questions about the Young Marine program, the Official National Young Marines Website is:
